What is Diflucan?

Diflucan is an antifungal medication that was first introduced to the market in the late 1980s. It was approved by the FDA for the treatment of Candida, a fungal infection that causes yeast infections, such as thrush and vaginal yeast infections. The medication works by stopping the growth of the fungus, which causes it to stop growing. However, it is important to note that Diflucan is not for oral use. It should only be used by patients who are allergic to any of its ingredients. If you have any other allergies, such as if you’re a child or have a history of blood clots or strokes, it’s important to inform your healthcare provider about all the medications you are currently taking. If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, it’s recommended to consult with your doctor before starting the medication.

How does Diflucan work?

Diflucan, an antifungal medication, works by killing the fungi that are causing the infection. When it’s applied directly to the affected area, it will penetrate the skin and reach the infected area, preventing the growth of the infection. The medication must be taken orally once every 24 hours.
